they've been trying to take that down for a long time, could it be 10 years? haha i'm not a real san diegan so i don't know. :) but i've always heard it on the news since i moved down 3 years ago.

I think that as a san diegan, we are kinda tired of fighting. Personally, to me, yeah it's wrong that they want to take it down, and i think we put a really good fight for it (like Kenrick said, it's been 10 years).  I know that Christ is still alive with or without the cross, so now I'm just like...go ahead, take the cross down!  Christ will reign no matter what.  :)
